Road Warriors Corner

This page is dedicated to Colorado sailors who travel to exotic (or, just far) locales in order to get their sailing fix. If you have a trip planned or a report on a trip already taken that we can post please let us know.

2009 -

2008 - DSA Member wins North Americans: David Spira, a DSA & SAIL member, won the Buccaneer North American Championship in May at Lake Hartwell, South Carolina. This was David's fourth Buccaneer NAs win. Congratulations, David!.

2007 - Reeve Dunne & Ian McKenzie, two graduates of Community Sailing's Cherry Creek Race Team, went to FJ Nationals & Worlds in July on San Francisco Bay. They took 4th in Nationals & 10th in Worlds, complaining "We had a bad regatta." Reeve is now sailing for Tufts College and Ian for the College of Charleston.

2007 Lightning Worlds: Steve Davis & team went to Athens, Greece and took 4th. It was hot, just like for the Olympics.

2006 Rolex International Women's Keelboat Championship: Robin Jackson, Kristen Zagray & two friends did pretty well here. Read about their adventures on their website.

2006 Lightning Worlds: Higuerilla YC, Chile -- 45 boats, 9 races, 1 discard. Tight racing, as the photos show
