Columbus Day
Fall may be in the air but the sailing is usually excellent for the season closer at
Chatfield. Hosted by Colorado Sail and Yacht Club.
Please see below for the most recent Notice of Race for Columbus Day Regatta theld at
Chatfield Reservoir in early October. We will also be holding a chili/chowder cooking
contest that will be served after the racing on Saturday.
The regatta scoring will also be used by S.A.I.L for the Colorado Cup. This is the
second year of the cup and I would ask that all of the clubs please try to send at least 5
boats for scoring purposes towards the Colorado Cup. This regatta is open for keel and
dingy fleets. As for water in Chatfield, it is at its lowest level that we expect it to
go. We have been able to launch boats all season and expect for the regatta. We may ask
you though to launch on the ramps by the dam because there is more room. The will be slips
available and you can contact Chatfield Marina for information about the slips. If you
launch by the dam, we can provide shuttle capability to the marina for skippers meetings.
